Bio
Dr. Akira Saito specializes in Gastroenterology at Indiana University in Indianapolis, Indiana. He is board certified in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. He completed both his residency in Internal Medicine and fellowship in Gastroenterology at Indiana School of Medicine. He joined the faculty as Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in 2021. He has a clinical and research interest in eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) and foregut motility. He performs procedures such as upper endoscopy, colonoscopy, esophageal dilations, esophageal stent placement, esophageal manometry, EndoFLIP, pH studies, and video capsule endoscopy.
