Bio
Dr. Daniel Runco is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. He attended Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine and completed residency in pediatrics at Riley Hospital for Children and Indiana University School of Medicine. He served as Chief Resident and Clinical Lecturer in the Department of Pediatrics at Riley Hospital for Children before completing fellowship in hematology/oncology at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Dr. Runco also earned a Master of Science in Clinical Research from Emory University Laney Graduate School before joining the Indiana University School of Medicine faculty. His clinical focus is caring for children with tumors of the brain and spine and his research interests include nutrition, feeding dysfunction, and supportive care in children undergoing cancer treatment. Dr. Runco was recognized as a Children’s Oncology Group Young Investigator at the State-of-the-Science Nutrition Meeting in 2018 and continues to be active in several national professional societies.
