Bio
Dr. Corvera attended Duke University in Durham, NC and graduated Magna Cum Laude in 1991 majoring in Economics and Mathematics. He had a brief stint as an investment banker in New York before he decided to enter the field of Medicine. He attended Columbia University in New York City to complete postbaccalaureate premedical studies in 1993. Dr. Corvera graduated from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, TN and became a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society in 1998. He completed a General Surgery Residency, a Cardiothoracic Surgery Research Fellowship and a clincal Cardiothoracic Surgery Fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA from 1998 to 2008. He completed sub-specialty training in Aortic and Endovascular Surgery at the University of Florida College of Medicine in Gainesville, FL in 2009. He joined Indiana University Health in 2009 as a Cardiovascular Surgeon. He became faculty of the Indiana University School of Medicine in 2015. He is the Director of Thoracic Vascular and Aortic Surgery.

Dr. Corvera's research interests include clinical outcomes of open surgical aortic procedures, clinical studies involving novel endovascular devices and transcatheter valve devices.
Dr. Corvera's clincal interests include open repair of thoracic and thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysms and dissection, endovascular repair of thoracic aneurysms and dissection, management of blunt traumatic aortic injury, transcatheter valve therapies, aortic valve surgery.
