Bio
Originally from Iowa, Ellen Ireland attended the University of Iowa for her MPH degree in Environmental and Occupational Health. She then attended Indiana University in Bloomington for her PhD in Anthropology. Her research has focused on human/environmental interactions in the Midwest, including a studies on barriers to consumption of invasive carp in waterways, the air quality near confined animal feeding operations, and mold-related indoor air quality.
