Bio
Dr. Zhou is an Associate Professor of Pediatrics with a secondary appointment in Microbiology & Immunology at the IU School of Medicine. Dr. Zhou received his Ph.D. from the University of Washington and postdoctoral training at Benaroya Research Institute in Seattle. Dr. Zhou was one of the leading researchers to discover the important role of the cytokine thymic stromal lymphopoietin (TSLP) in the pathogenesis of asthma. His lab is also studying the imbalance of regulatory T cells and effector T cells leading to chronic asthma and autoimmune diseases. Dr. Zhou’s research has been supported by grants from the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Riley Children’s Foundation and Showalter Award.
