Bio

Dr. Nazmul Huda obtained his Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Biochemistry from Dhaka University. He then pursued his Ph.D. degree on bacterial drug resistance mechanism from Okayama University, Japan. He worked as a faculty in the Department of Biochemistry, Dhaka University until he joined to the Department of Medical and Molecular Genetics, IUSM as a Post-Doctoral fellow, in 2004. Dr. Huda worked with Dr. David Gilley on telomere biology in normal and cancer cell. In 2015, he started working with Dr. Xiao-Ming Yin as a Research Associate on hepatocellular senescence in autophagy deficient liver in the Department of Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. Currently, Dr. Huda has been working as an Assistant Research Professor with Dr. Suthat Liangpunsakul since 2020 on the mechanism of alcohol associated liver injury.
