Bio

Dr. Yip-Schneider is currently Senior Research Professor of Surgery.  She received her PhD in Biochemistry from the University of California, Davis.  Following post-doctoral training at the University of California, Los Angeles and Indiana University School of Medicine, she joined the Department of Surgery faculty in 2001.

Dr. Yip-Schneider’s research focus is on pancreatic cancer and pancreatic cysts, some of which have malignant potential. This work encompasses the search for potential targets, therapeutics, and biomarkers for earlier detection and prevention. She has more than 75 peer reviewed publications.
