Bio
My research is focused on improving diagnosis and treatment of older adults with cognitive impairment and Alzheimer disease. I have led and collaborated on cross-national studies on the prevalence, incidence, and risk factors of Alzheimer disease and on randomized clinical trials of behavioral and lifestyle interventions to maintain and improve cognition and daily function in older adults. In addition, I am the director of the residency training program in Clinical Neuropsychology. I also actively promote the professional practice of psychology and neuropsychology and have been elected to the boards of the Indiana Psychological Association, the American Board of Clinical Neuropsychology (the primary board certification organization in neuropsychology), and the Association of Postdoctoral Programs in Clinical Neuropsychology (a membership organization of residency training programs).
