Bio
Tammie Nelson, MPH, CPH, is a Research Associate in the Division of Children's Health Services Research in Pediatrics at Indiana University School of Medicine. As an epidemiologist and public health researcher, she leverages clinical and administrative data from electronic health records, Medicaid, and numerous other sources to investigate and improve the impact of social determinants of health (e.g., poverty, education, transportation) on access to and quality of care with a focus on HIV, substance use disorder, mental health, and vulnerable populations. She collaborates with community organizations and a stakeholder group to gather valuable information and to ensure that findings are disseminated and implemented in Central Indiana and beyond.
