Bio
John Paul Spence, PhD, is an Assistant Research Professor of Pediatrics at Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) in the Center for Pediatric and Adolescent Comparative Effectiveness Research (PACER). He is the Program Manager of the Independent Investigator Incubator (I3) program, a mentorship program for junior faculty.
The primary focus of his position is to assist junior faculty with grant development and writing. Dr. Spence’s research is focused on identifying factors that affect outcomes of junior faculty in the medical research environment. He is also interested in the underlying genetics and epigenetics of alcohol use disorder.
