Nancy E. Butler, MD
Associate Professor of Clinical Psychiatry
My twenty-five years of practice with a number of forms of therapy led me to interest in in-depth insight oriented forms of psychotherapy including psychoanalysis-- perhaps best described as a method for helping one make meaning of a life. This closely ties with my commitment to the education of medical students and residents, particularly in the areas of self-awareness and psychotherapy. It is my hope to help the IU School of Medicine produce graduates who are themselves able to providing healing communication.
