Bio
Dr. Katie Pettit completed her Emergency Medicine residency at Indiana University School of Medicine. She is board-certified in Emergency Medicine and serves as clinical faculty in the IU Health Methodist Emergency Department. Dr. Pettit spent 7 years as Associate Program Director for the Emergency Medicine residency program and is now the Vice Chair of Education. In this role, she contributes to and oversees all educational missions in the Department of Emergency Medicine. Her interests beyond patient care and medical education are teaching communication, implicit bias, and researching how to improve empathic care in the Emergency Department. Outside of medicine, Katie enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching and attending sporting events (especially Notre Dame football), reading, cooking, and traveling.
