The following resources are available to you at no charge, as a member of the IU School of Medicine community.

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS)

Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) offers a full-range of clinical mental health services and support for learners. At your initial consultation appointment, a counselor will focus on understanding your concerns and goals, then make recommendations for next steps.

Peer-to-Peer Wellness Coaches

Learn about wellness directly from your peers. Peer health educators are students who are available to present information on wellness topics, including physical and mental health, sexual misconduct, civic engagement and more to you, your student organization or your class.

Uncover your values and desires, learn how to put them into action and get tips for maintaining healthy changes with a certified wellness coach. You'll get free, personalized guidance on topics like reducing stress, managing money, developing a sense of belonging, growing intellectually and more.

Have more energy, get better grades and lower your risk for disease when you understand and practice healthy eating. Learn tips for healthier eating, schedule a nutrition presentation or find out how to access nutritious food, even when you're strapped for cash.

Department of Mental Health Services

Access mental health services on all IU School of Medicine campuses in-person, or schedule a tele-health appointment. You can also take a mental health, well-being, anxiety, depression or PTSD screening online.

Ombuds Office

Discuss concerns, complaints and disputes with an impartial third party in a safe environment at the IU School of Medicine Ombuds Office. Confidentially discuss sensitive issues, find guidance on how to address a conflict, identify policies that apply to a specific situation and more.
