Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery

Student Interest Group

Student Interest Group

Medical students don’t journey through the Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery program alone. The Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery department’s Student Interest Group helps to support and advise students interested in the field of otolaryngology. Through mentorship and shared knowledge, this group helps students to prepare for a career in ear, nose and throat medicine and surgery.

As a function of the group, faculty and upper classmen share advice and experiences to future classes to help them prepare for matching into Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery residency programs. Students entering other specialty areas of medicine are welcome to attend meetings as well, since guest speakers provide valuable insight and introduce attendees to the diversity within the otolaryngology field of medicine.
