Orthopaedic Trauma fellows spend their time in downtown Indianapolis. Training is conducted in one of two hospitals in the heart of the city.

Indiana University Health Methodist Hospital

Nearly all clinical training for the Orthopaedic Trauma Fellowship occurs at IU Health Methodist Hospital.

This facility in the heart of Indianapolis is home to the state’s most established Level I Adult Trauma Center. Doctors and nurses there see more than 3,600 trauma patients annually. Verified since 1992, IU Health Methodist Hospital was recognized in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 as the top-ranked hospital in the country for quality and safety by the University Health Consortium. It has been ranked among the top 50 national programs in the U.S. News & World Report “America’s Best Hospitals” guide for 10 consecutive years.

IU Health Senate Street Surgery Center

IU Health Senate Street Surgery Center is an outpatient surgery center at IU Health Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. The surgery center has eight fully equipped, technologically advanced operating rooms.
