Bio

Why I chose family medicine: I chose Family Medicine because this specialty allows for continuity of care, forms relationships with patients, and advocates for them to get the best possible care and support my patients with other social determinants that affect their wellbeing. I also appreciate the ability to practice in various clinical environments.

Why I chose the IU School of Medicine Arnett Family Medicine Residency Program: During my virtual interview process, I looked for a place that felt like home since I'm so far away from my family. The Residents and the faculty all were very welcoming and encouraging. The entire group seemed like a tight knitted family even with it being over zoom. I knew this was where I wanted to be. I like that it's a program that caters to an underserved environment with the backing of a larger institution with many connections. It's also an unopposed program with a smaller class that allows you to have unique learning opportunities with the faculty.

Interests/Hobbies: I enjoy swimming, yoga, cooking, (because I love food) ,baking , writing poems and travelling.

Clinical Interest: Preventative health, Global health and Women's health
