Bio
Why I chose Family Medicine: When I finished my clerkship in family medicine in medical school, I realized that family medicine is really the core of what medicine should be: knowing patients as people, addressing their everyday health needs, and preventing future health concerns. The opportunities in family medicine are also numerous, allowing for exploration of just about anything a physician might be interested in from academics to focused specialties.
Why I chose the IU Health Primary Care Central Indianapolis Family Medicine Residency Program: IU provides training in several new and upcoming practices in healthcare that will become more important in family medicine. It was important for me to find a program that is continually innovating their training to meet these needs, and the faculty is well-diversified in their training backgrounds, allowing for full coverage of expertise. The staff is top-notch and friendly, and the residents are great people that I knew I would love to work with.
Interests and hobbies: On my time off, I can probably be found playing video games or reading. But I also love everything food and coffee, something me and my husband spend a lot of time exploring! I have a special training interest in psychiatric care and services.
