Bio

Why Emergency Medicine? I enjoy the opportunity that emergency medicine provides to care for undifferentiated patients at varying levels of illness. I always admired the ability EM providers had to quickly establish rapport with their patients and wanted to learn the same skill. I also enjoy the constant task switching, art of triage, and broad knowledge base that the specialty requires.

Why did you choose the Indiana University School of Medicine Emergency Residency program? At the end of my interview day with IU, I was more motivated and excited for residency than the beginning of the day. I could tell the people here would push me to be the best doctor I could become in a caring environment. It was also a program that I could see my spouse fitting with and being part of the family.

What are some of your personal interests? Spending time with our dog, baking, redecorating my Animal Crossing island, and thrift shopping.
