Bio
Why I chose family medicine: Throughout my medical field experience and during my medical school training, I realized that I truly value forming a relationship with my patients and I believe better health outcomes can be achieved when the healthcare team forms those long-lasting relationships with their patients. I also did not want to be tied down to a certain patient population or even a certain system of the body when it came to the care I could provide. Hence, I chose family medicine because it offers full-spectrum care and the opportunity to establish close relationships with the patient and the entire family.
Why I chose the IU Health Primary Care Central Indianapolis Family Medicine Residency Program: What first drew me into the program was the strong curriculum involving intense inpatient training along with outpatient training in a clinic modeled on the Patient Centered Medical Home. This program also offered the ability to take part in subspecialty training in areas I would like to pursue such as obstetrics and global medicine. Ultimately, it was the people who made up the program that made me feel at home and choose to do my residency here in Indianapolis.
Personal interests and hobbies: I enjoy getting outside and being active with friends and family. I enjoy hiking, biking, running, stand up paddle boarding, kayaking and really anything on the water. I recently got into archery and I absolutely love it. You can also find me baking, trying new recipes, reading a good book and taking any chance I can to travel.
