Bio

Leah Stalnaker, MD is from Saint Albans, West Virginia and obtained her medical degree from Marshall University School of Medicine. She will graduate from the IU Triple Board program in 2023.

Why Triple Board at IU?
I'm Leah, from just outside of Charleston, WV. I chose to train at Indiana University for many reasons, including several diverse training locations, fun/ easy-going residents and staff, excellent cost of living, minimal traffic, and great food.

Career Interests:
Academically, I am involved in the Interdisciplinary Global Health Track and have a variety of clinical interests. Initially, I chose Triple Board with an interest in treating perinatal addictions/ neonatal abstinence syndrome, and over my first couple of years in training I have also come to enjoy treating psychosis and those with neurodevelopmental disorders. Indiana University has provided a myriad of experiences in all of the above, and I am very glad to be training here!

Outside of work:
In my free time I like to use the many plant nurseries nearby to fill my yard with flower gardens, host board game nights and inflatable pool parties, hike at local parks, try new recipes from several different food bloggers, and perhaps most of all, I am an expert in afternoon napping.
