Medical School: Indiana University School of Medicine
Hometown: Indianapolis, IN
Interests: Geriatrics, psychosis, addictions, visiting every county in Indiana, playing with my
dog, Mountain Dew spin-off flavors, movie trivia.
Why I chose IU Psychiatry Residency: I was impressed with the senior residents and
the positive culture in the residency as a whole. I felt like the attending physicians were
truly invested in residents. There was a diverse patient population in the different
hospitals. I also liked the food at Eskenazi. Indianapolis is both a big city (17th in the
nation according to wikipedia) with many tertiary care centers in the IU network alone,
and kind of a small town. It's easy to get around, there are lots of exciting things to do
outside work. You can live in any cardinal direction and have a good quality of life. And
we have the Indy 500.
