Bio

Medical School: Southern Illinois University School of Medicine
Hometown: Quad Cities, IL
Interests: Psychotic disorders, emergency psychiatry, developmental disorders, substance abuse, spending time with my fiancé and my two dogs, Buddy and Izzy, Netflix binging, working on my house, lifting weights and running.
Interests: Emergency psychiatry, Consult Liaison and inpatient psychiatry, spending time with my wife and 3 large dogs(Shepadoodle, Goldendoodle, Old English Sheepdog), Netflix binging, video games, traveling.
Why I chose IU Psychiatry Residency: There are multiple reasons why I wanted to be here at IU. To start, I couples matched with my wife, who is now in her last year of Med-Peds residency. The psychiatry program here was very supportive toward applicants who are couples matching, which was great. The location of IU was also highly important. Indianapolis has all the perks of a big city (food, night life, entertainment, airport, etc) but without the high cost of living and terrible traffic. Perhaps most importantly, the patient referral radius encircles the entire state, or almost. By casting such a wide net, I felt like it would improve my chances of encountering more rare disorders and atypical presentations, which was important to me in my training.
