I was born and spent most of my childhood in Phoenix, AZ. I ventured to the University of Wisconsin-Madison for college and fell in love with medical microbiology and immunology, which I studied by accident. Since then, I’ve wanted to be an infectious diseases specialist.
I chose Med-Peds because of the depth and breadth of training and because I was not quite ready to close the door on working with adults or children. I plan to study and practice ID in both populations, and am interested in global health. IU’s strong global health presence was a huge draw for me and I am lucky to be surrounded by many like-minded, intelligent, and empathetic residents, fellows, and attendings.
