Bio
Why I chose general surgery as a career: The real question is, why wouldn’t I choose general surgery as a career? There is something so unique about surgery that it is almost indescribable. As a surgeon you improve and even save the lives of patient’s every single day. There is no other job in the world that impacts people like surgery does.
Why I chose the IU School of Medicine General Surgery Residency Program: The volume and variety of surgical cases at Indiana University allows one to become a well-rounded surgeon and ultimately prepares residents for their first general surgery job or fellowship as well as any training program in the country.
Professional/Research Interests: My research interest is focused on the role of inflammation in postoperative atrial fibrillation after cardiac surgery.
Personal Interests/Hobbies: Flying airplanes
