Postdoctoral Recruitment Weekend

The Postdoctoral Recruitment Weekend offers opportunity for talented and outstanding postdoctoral candidates to visit and interview for postdoctoral positions at IU School of Medicine. This event is held each fall, often in October. Candidates should be enrolled in a U.S. graduate institution or have graduated from a U.S. institution and currently reside in the United States.

Applicants selected for the recruitment weekend present research to IU School of Medicine faculty, interview with potential faculty mentors and meet current postdocs, and tour the IU School of Medicine—Indianapolis campus and community. Travel expenses are paid by IU School of Medicine (some restrictions may apply).

Application Process

Interested participants must submit a completed application to the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs by August 1 for review by the selection committee. Acceptance notifications are sent by email.

Applicants to the Postdoctoral Recruitment Weekend must submit all of the following items to complete the application packet: application form, CV with list of publications (maximum five pages), summary of career goals and research interests (maximum one page), reference form (to be completed and sent separately by faculty mentor, and support letter (to be completed and sent separately by faculty mentor). Applications without all of the requested items by the deadline will not be reviewed. Completed applications must be submitted to the Office of Postdoctoral Affairs by August 1.
