Stark Neurosciences Research Institute

Neurobiology of Affective and Movement Disorders

Investigators at Stark Neuroscience Research Institute explore the neurophysiological basis of psychiatric disorders. This was the original focus of the IU School of Medicine MedNeuro program, and that tradition continues.

Areas of interest include both animal models and human studies of anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, conduct disorder, and autism. Labs support a wide range of disciplines, including behavioral pharmacology, animal models of anxiety, depression, and autism, opto- and chemo-genetics, electrophysiology, neuroimmunology, genetics, and human behavior and neuroimaging.
