Current Fellows

Post-Doctoral Fellow, July 2016 – June 2018

Dr. Grout received his medical degree from the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine in 2013. He completed a residency in Pediatrics at the Indiana University School of Medicine in 2016, and began a children’s health services research fellowship in July 2016. Dr. Grout’s research focuses on the intersection of medical informatics and health services with a specific interest in clinical decision support.

Post-Doctoral Fellow, July 2016 – June 2018

Dr. Hentea received her MD from Northwestern University in 2012. She completed a residency in pediatrics at Riley Hospital for Children in Indianapolis in 2015. She continued her training at Riley Hospital with a fellowship in pediatric hematology oncology and a dual fellowship in Children’s Health Services Research. Her research interests focus on the impact of social determinants of health on provider-patient communication and parental decision making in the pediatric oncology realm.

Post-Doctoral Fellow, July 2018 – June 2020

Dr. Holland received her dual medical degree and Master in Public Health from the University of Nevada Reno in 2014. She completed a residency in Pediatrics at Indiana University School of Medicine in 2017 and began a Pediatric Gastrointestinal, Hepatology and Nutrition Fellowship shortly thereafter. She will start the Children’s Health Service Research Fellowship in Fall 2018. Her research interests include nutrition in regards to cystic fibrosis and inflammatory bowel disease and how this impacts long term health and population outcomes.
