Gifts to the Indiana Alzheimer’s Disease Center support research initiatives within the laboratories as well as educational programs to help increase medical knowledge to both the medical profession and the community surrounding Alzheimer disease.

Dianne Trauring and Nancy Carpenter lost their mother in 2010 after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Stories like theirs drive Indiana University School of Medicine researchers to further advance global collaboration of dementia research in order to prevent and effectively treat Alzheimer’s disease. Donors may choose to establish a lecture series to support laboratory and clinical research; endow a laboratory/research fund ($100,000); Lectureship ($100,000); Fellowship ($250,000); Professorship ($500,000); Senior Professorship ($250,000); Faculty Chair ($1.5 million); or Senior Faculty Chair ($2 million).

Donations may be made in the form of cash, check or credit card. Checks should be made to the Indiana Alzheimer Disease Fund – Indiana University. Securities (i.e. stocks and bonds); real estate (i.e. property); personal property (i.e. books, art, coins); estate bequests and planned gifts (i.e. charitable remainder and lead trusts, life insurance, charitable or deferred gift annuities, pooled income funds, retirement plans, IRAs); and pledges (up to five years) are also accepted.
