Message from the Diagnostic Radiology Residency Program Director

Thank you for exploring our Residency at the Indiana University School of Medicine Department of Radiology and Imaging Sciences. Students often ask me what I consider to be our program’s best quality. I usually answer by describing our supportive, collegial, resident-centric environment. It’s easy to underestimate the tremendous value of learning for four years alongside faculty and other residents with whom you strongly connect. The residency is truly the heart and soul of our department. In fact, for most faculty, the primary reason to have chosen IU School of Medicine for radiology practice was the opportunity to work alongside residents, contributing to resident training and mentorship.

Our residents experience the tremendous advantages of our large training program. By graduation, our residents are well-known to be competent proceduralists and as having a firm interpretive foundation in even the most cutting edge and complex radiology imaging techniques. Opportunities abound for supplemental training and experiences in leadership, mentorship, teaching and global health.

IU School of Medicine Radiology Residency alumni can be found everywhere, serving as the diagnostic center of the care team at numerous hospitals and outpatient settings, creating new innovative ways to detect disease, and leading national societies and scientific meetings. I hope you strongly consider contributing to the IU School of Medicine Radiology community and experiencing the tremendous benefits of training with our team.
