The National Science Foundation and Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis will co-host a workshop from 7:45 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 4, at the IUPUI Campus Center, 420 University Blvd. More than 300 participants from institutions of higher learning across Indiana and beyond have registered to attend the event, NSF Day at IUPUI.

The NSF is one of the largest supporters of federally funded science research in the nation, with an annual budget of more than $7 billion. The event, primarily designed for researchers and educators less experienced in submitting proposals to the NSF, will provide an overview of the foundation and its mission, priorities and budget.

Nine representatives from the NSF will conduct the workshop, including representatives from the seven NSF directorates and the Office of International Science and Engineering and the Office of Integrative Activities.
