Members of the Pediatric Neurology program in the Department of Neurology at Indiana School of Medicine is the largest and most productive group of child neurologists in the state of Indiana. The section offers expert and cutting-edge clinical care to children throughout Indiana and the Midwest, from curative epilepsy treatment in a rapidly growing epilepsy surgery program to the revolutionary therapies offered in the Muscular Dystrophy Association Clinic. The program has a strong emphasis on service and education, paired with a rapidly developing research presence in child neurology.
Outpatient clinical effort is centered at Riley Hospital for Children, with offices in the north and west suburbs of Indianapolis. Outreach clinics are also present in Bloomington and Lafayette. IU School of Medicine faculty provide inpatient coverage and manages epilepsy monitoring units at Riley Hospital and IU Health North Hospital.
The department offers a Child Neurology Residency Program and, in cooperation with Developmental Pediatrics, a Neurodevelopmental Disabilities Residency Program. Both offer comprehensive and innovative training through the depth and breadth of childhood neurologic disease.
