IU Health Methodist Hospital houses one of the largest Neurocritical Care Units in the country, covering the entire spectrum of neurological disorders. Physicians who staff the unit are CAST-certified in Neurocritical Care. This one-year fellowship program provides high exposure to trauma and neurovascular disorders, including aneurysmal subarachnoid hemorrhage and intracerebral hemorrhage.
The unit is managed with collaboration between neurosurgeons, critical care physicians, and trauma/critical care surgeons. Participating fellows have significant opportunity for clinical research. Completion of an approved neurosurgery residency program before applying for this fellowship program is preferred.
