Bio

 

Dr Knoderer is a lifelong resident of the Indianapolis area. Her undergraduate training was at Butler University followed by medical school at Indiana University.  Dr Knoderer completed her pediatric residency and hematology-oncology fellowship at Riley Hospital for Children. She also has a Master’s degree in Clinical Research from IU.  Dr Knoderer began her academic career as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at IU and Riley Hospital in 2007.  She has also held academic appointments in Clinical Pharmacology at IU and Butler. She is board certified in pediatric hematology-oncology.  

 

Dr Knoderer is the Medical Director of Pediatric Hematology-Oncology for Riley at IU Health North Hospital.  She also serves as the Medical Director of Pediatric Services for IU Health North Hospital.  She is a member of the Children’s Oncology Group and the American Society of Pediatric Hematology Oncology.  Dr Knoderer has published several research articles and her work has been featured on the Sound Medicine radio broadcast.  She enjoys caring for patients will all types of cancer and blood disorders including children and teens with iron deficiency and adolescents and young adults with leukemia.  Dr Knoderer has a daughter and a son with whom she enjoys spending her free time. She also enjoys travel, cycling, hiking, and cheering on the Butler Bulldogs.
