Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine


Dr. Kamalesh completed medical school at the University of Delhi. He completed his internal medicine training at St. Lukes-Roosevelt Hospital in New York and his cardiology training at Beth-Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston. He is an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine and serves as Chief of Cardiology at the Roudebush VA Medical Center.His clinical and research interests are in Clinical Cardiology with emphasis on Diabetes and Heart Disease and Echocardiography. He is currently the Principal Investigator of a large multi-center VA cooperative trial, VA CARDS, which compares PCI to Bypass Surgery in diabetics with coronary disease.
