Kamal C. Wagle, MD
Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine
Dr. Wagle joined IU School of Medicine as a faculty on August 2015. He is an assistant professor of clinical medicine in division of Geriatrics in department of medicine. He is a medical director of nursing home facility overseeing subacute rehabiliation and long term care patients. He is also primary care physician in geriatrics clinic at Eskenazi Health. Besides clinical and leadership roles, he actively teaches geriatrics to learners and is involved in scholarly work around medication safety for older adults. Before moving to Indianapolis, Dr. Wagle was a faculty at Baylor college of Medicine, Houston, TX. He did his residency in family medicine and academic fellowship in geriatrics at Baylor. He also completed his masters in public health, while in Houston, from University of Texas, School of Public Health. Prior to Texas he was working in Nepal after medical school there from Institute of Medicine, Tribhuvan University.
