Claire D. Liepmann, MD

Claire Liepmann is a current Pediatric ID fellow anticipated to graduate in June 2023. She attended Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine prior to completing a combined internal medicine and pediatrics residency at Western Michigan University in Kalamazoo, MI. Her interests lie primarily in global health which is one of the main reasons she chose to do fellowship at Indiana University where there is exciting clinical and research work happening in global health. Her current research is mentored by Dr. Andrea Conroy and focuses on malaria associated kidney disease and recovery. The department is also supporting her to become certified in clinical tropical medicine by the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene. When not at work she enjoys exploring the outdoors with her dog Quantum, intermittent crafting, and traveling the world.
