John D. Buckley

John D. Buckley, MD, MPH

Professor of Medicine


A native of Michigan and graduate of Wayne State University, Dr. Buckley completed his Internal Medicine residency, Pulmonary / Critical Care Medicine fellows, and Masters in Public Health at Indiana University.   He was a Senior Staff Physician at the Henry Ford Health System from 1997-2008 where he was the program director for the Pulmonary /CCM fellowship and led a faculty development program designed to enhance teaching effectiveness.   He returned to Indiana University as the Vice Chair for Quality and Safety and resumed his teaching activities as Pulm/CCM fellowship PD here before assuming his current position as Vice Chair for Education in the Department of Medicine.  He continues his clinical activities primarily at Eskenazi Hospital.
