Bio

Dr. Bushey is a board-certified psychiatrist who trained at The Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine, where he earned MD and PhD degrees and completed a General Psychiatry Residency.  As Director of the Indiana University Health (IUH) Somatic Disorders Clinic, he specializes in treating patients with chronic pain, functional neurological disorder, and related mental heath comorbidities. He also serves as Medical Director of the IUH Adult Outpatient Psychiatry Clinic at Goodman Hall & Pain Rehabilitation Program at Methodist Hospital, and is an Associate Program Director for the IUSM General Psychiatry Residency in Indianapolis.

    Dr. Bushey is involved in health services research aimed at developing, testing, and implementing innovative models of care. He is especially interested in collaborative care and utilizing technology to increase access to psychiatric services, especially for people with chronic pain and addiction.
