Bio

Kari Kendall, MD grew up in South Bend, Indiana and received her undergraduate degrees (in Biology and Humanities) from Bethel College in Mishawaka, Indiana. She graduated from Indiana University School of Medicine and received her Pediatric training at Helen DeVos Children’s Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan. Kari went on to pursue a Hospice and Palliative Medicine fellowship, with special focus in Pediatrics, with Mercy Health in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She completed fellowship in July 2018 and started her career here at Indiana University. Her special interests within Pediatric Palliative Care include ethical issues in pediatrics and caring for children with severe neurologic impairment. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, writing, traveling, and playing piano.
