Bio
Dr. Swec is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the Indiana University School of Medicine. She earned her undergraduate degree at the University of Notre Dame and attended Georgetown University School of Medicine. Dr. Swec completed her pediatric residency at the Naval Medical Center San Diego and served as an Active Duty General Pediatrician in the Navy for four years. Since that time, she has practiced general pediatrics in both academic and private practice settings. She serves as the Chair of the Early Brain and Childhood Development Committee of the Indiana Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics and as the Medical Director of Reach Out and Read Indiana. Her special interests are in early childhood literacy promotion and children with special health care needs.
