Ruchi Pandey, PhD

Assistant Research Professor of Pediatrics

Bio

Ruchi Pandey, obtained PhD in Applied Biology from University of Mumbai (India) while she was working as a scientist at Bhabha Atomic Research Center. She then went on to elucidate the siganling pathways activated in response to physiological DNA damage during antigen receptor gene assembly during B cell development as part of post doctoral training at WUSTL. Ruchi joined Kapur lab at Department of Pediatrics, IUSM as a research fellow in hematopoeisis and contributed to understanding of myeloid malignancies. She was appointed as Assistant Research Professor in january 2018 and her current research focus is elucidation of the mechanims involved in evolution of myeloid malignancies and screening of small molecule inhibtors for specific targeting of leukemic cells.
