Jui-Hung Jimmy Yen, PhD is an Associate Professor of Microbiology and Immunology at IU School of Medicine. Dr. Yen joined IU School of Medicine as an Assistant Professor in 2013 following his postdoctoral training of Neuroimmunology at Temple University School of Medicine, Philadelphia. Dr. Yen received his PhD of Immunology from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, in 2007. His research focus is to develop anti-inflammatory therapies for the treatment of neuroinflammatory diseases, including ischemic stroke and multiple sclerosis (MS), and to dissect the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying the protective effects of these treatments. Dr. Yen's research is currently funded by NIH R01 and the Anna Yoder MS Fund. Dr. Yen is also the site director of Host Defense course, and he teaches Immunology, Bacteriology and Virology for the course.
