Assistant Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine

Bio

Heather grew up in Springfield, Illinois.  She obtained her undergraduate degree in biology at Saint Louis University.  She completed her medical degree at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine, and then traveled east to complete a Pediatrics residency in Charleston, SC at the Medical University of South Carolina in 2008.  She was the recipient of the 2006 and 2007 Evidence Based Medicine Resident of the Year Award, and the 2008 Outstanding Senior Resident Award for Teaching and Leadership.  Her education then took her to the Medical College of Wisconsin, where she completed a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellowship in 2011.   Heather is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics, and works exclusively at Riley Hospital for Children.  Outside of the hospital, Heather enjoys traveling, cooking, and good books.
