Dr. Rachel J. Peterson is a Med-Peds Hospitalist and Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine and Clinical Pediatrics at IU School of Medicine.
She graduated with a degree in Biology from Taylor University, then went to receive her M.D. from IU School of Medicine in 2013. She completed her Med-Peds residency at IU in 2017, including acting as a chief resident from 2016-2017.
She is passionate about providing quality care to acutely ill patients across the age spectrum. With active involvement in the IU Med-Peds residency, she seeks to further improve the inpatient management of adolescents and young adults with conditions of childhood. Her work with the PACES Program aims to look at the state of adult care in pediatric institutions nationwide.
