Zhigang Cai, PhD

Assistant Research Professor of Pediatrics


Dr. Cai’s research interest is focusing on utilizing murine models for understanding mechanisms of human diseases progression. His recent research indicates that an anti-apoptosis long non-coding RNA Morrbid plays an essential role in myeloid leukemia including the onset of an early event of such blood cancer: clonal hematopoiesis. The findings from his basic research will be ultimately translated to clinical and benefit for human disease treatment.
