Bio
Roberta Hibbard, M.D. is Professor Emeritus of Pediatrics and Chief, Division of Child Protection Programs. She is active in numerous efforts to improve the knowledge, communication and coordination of services when child maltreatment is suspected. These include the Indiana Children’s Justice Act Task Force, Indiana State Child Fatality Review Team, Marion County Child Protection Team, the Ray Helfer Society and the International Society on the Prevention of Child Abuse and Neglect. She has received numerous awards for her dedicated work including the IUPUI Chancellor’s Award for Civic Engagement; The Commissioner’s Award, USHHSA; the Tony and Mary Hulman Health Achievement Award from the Indiana Public Health Foundation; Health Care Hero (Indiana Business Journal); Trustee Teaching Award (IU School of Medicine); Virginia Wagner, MD Award (Indiana Chapter of the American Academy of Pediatrics) and the Kathleen Galbraith Award (Indiana State Medical Association).
