Darlene R. House, MD, MSCR

Rose is a 2005 graduate of Indiana University School of Medicine and 2010 graduate of IU's combined residency in Emergency Medicine and Pediatrics. After residency, Rose completed a Global Health Fellowship and Masters in Clinical Research, with a focus on rehydration of children with diarrheal illness. In partnership with the IU-Kenya AMPATH program, Rose helped with Emergency Medicine development and research activities in Kenya. In 2015, Rose accepted an opportunity in Nepal to help support an Emergency Medicine training program at Patan Hospital through Patan Academy of Health Sciences (PAHS), one of the first EM programs in Nepal. Rose has transitioned her research interests there as well as serves on faculty at PAHS, teaching Emergency Medicine to medical students, residents, and fellows.

Outside of the hospital, Rose enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, and sports. Recently, her interest in sports has expanded to participation in cricket and camel polo. Next up on the list: gorilla trekking. Life is short; make the most of today.
