Bio

Dr. Ballard is an Associate Professor of Family Medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) and the Executive Director of the Indiana Area Health Education Centers (AHEC) Network. In addition to his responsibility for leading the Indiana AHEC Network, he facilitates medical student learning and is an active member of the IUSM diversity and admissions committees. He has a life-long interest and passion for developing partnerships among academic institutions with community partners. Additionally, Dr. Ballard is active with the American Interprofessional Health Collaborative and is a tactic chair for the emerging national Preceptor Expansion Project coordinated by the Society of Teachers in Family Medicine.
