Clinical Trials for Alzheimer's Disease

Clinical trials test the safety and effectiveness of new drugs and treatments. Nearly all medical treatments used today began with clinical trials.

Physician scientists at Indiana University School of Medicine lead clinical trials to find better ways to prevent, diagnose or treat Alzheimer’s disease. Successful clinical trials rely on both healthy individuals and people with Alzheimer’s disease to participate to better understand the disease.

The Indiana Alzheimer Disease Center offers outreach and education to the local and statewide community, especially underserved communities. The center shares resources and awareness about Alzheimer’s disease and the important role of participating in research.
