With 11,000 constituents across nine campuses and a clinical partnership with the state’s largest health care system, Indiana University School of Medicine is a highly complex organization. The Office of Technology Affairs was created in 2019 to meet the school’s robust IT needs and to establish the school as a national leader in the innovative use of information technology.
The Office of Technology Affairs provides leadership and oversight of school-wide information systems, technologies, applications and services. It is committed to creating an IT environment that empowers faculty, staff and learners and supports IU School of Medicine’s mission to improve health in Indiana and beyond.
About the CIO
Rob Lowden is the inaugural chief information officer for Indiana University School of Medicine. An IT veteran with two decades of experience, Lowden has successfully introduced creative technology solutions to complex and large-scale organizations. As an executive associate dean, he also serves on the school’s executive leadership team.
